Bug Fixes and Supportability Improvements
Fixed: Job Status Now Stays in Sync
A fix has been made for an issue where some completed jobs were incorrectly shown or sent as "enroute".
The app, tracking map and case screen should now show job progress more consistently.
Fixed: Cash Job Amount Resets Correctly
When capturing customer sign-off for a cash job, the app asks whether the customer paid directly and, if yes, asks for the amount paid.
In previous versions, if the answer was changed from Yes back to No, the amount field closed but the amount did not reset to zero. This has been fixed.
Improved: Notification Reliability
The app now captures more information about notifications, including when a job offer or missed job notification is received and how long it takes to arrive.
This aids in investigating and resolving any notification delays or missed alerts more quickly.
Notifications should behave more consistently whether the app is open, running in the background, or closed.
Feature and Workflow Enhancements
Camera Improvements
- The camera should now be more stable and less likely to close unexpectedly.
- The camera screen has been refreshed to make it clearer and easier to use.
- A loading message is now shown while a captured photo is being processed.
- Zoom controls have been improved, including a zoom indicator and reset option.
- Flash behaviour has been improved so it activates when the photo is taken, rather than staying on continuously.
- Photo submission should feel quicker and smoother.
- Photos are still uploaded in the same format as before.
Sign-in Experience Improvements
Improved Sign-in Reliability
The app has been improved so it can better keep user sessions active while work is in progress. This should reduce failed actions caused by sign-in or session issues, especially when the app is running in the background.
First-Time Setup No Longer Blocked by Motion Permission
Some users were previously unable to complete first-time app setup because of a motion permission prompt. This block has been removed. New users should be able to complete setup without being stopped by this permission.
App Update Delivery Improvements
Several improvements have been made to improve the speed at which bug fixes, security improvements, and new and improved features and functionality can be delivered.
App Updates Can Now Be Delivered More Easily
The app can now show an update message when a new minor version is available. In many cases, users will not need to manually check for the update first; the app will prompt when action is needed.
Some Updates May Be Required Before You Can Continue
If an update is required, the app will ask you to update before you
